LaserTrack.
As part of expansion plans, we've added the LaserTrack
wheel alignment system to our workshop. Gone are the days of wheel
alignment consisting of a length of string and a bit of guess work.
Lasers now give your bike perfect wheel alignment,
maximising stability and handling through corners, giving you maximum
enjoyment and safety on your road bike. Especially important for
racers and track day fans.
Badly aligned wheels will wear your tyres unevenly
and quicker. Chains and sprockets will also wear quicker. You can
now save money by extending the life of these expensive components.
We typically find wheels are 3-4 mm out of adjustment,
with one example of over 20 mm. Anything over 10 mm and the customer
tends to come back simply unable to believe that we haven't rebuilt
the whole bike, as it's been totally transformed back into the neutral
handling bike the manufacturer intended.
The system can also detect other issues like frame
damage, that might otherwise go undiagnosed.
Buying a used bike? If the seller is serious,
you should be able to get them to bring the bike into us for a quick
alignment check and adjustment. It could help prevent a costly mistake
if the frame has had damage. If it's OK and you buy the bike, you
know have a bike with perfect alignment.
We charge £25 for an initial alignment, then
£10 for each chain adjustment after that. If your bike is
already in for a service, an alignment check is now included in
the price.
We're giving away two LaserTrack alignments as part
of our next free newsletter draw. If you haven't already, join
